News from the Greater Summerville Music Forum
Spring 2009

"Without music life would be a mistake." Nietzsche couldn't have been more correct! And so we continue our efforts to make more beautiful music in greater Summerville. Our primary mission is to encourage networking among musicians. While we, as a Board of Directors, cannot make these connections for you, may of our members have had great success in finding partners and developing groups.

Witness some of the best known groups that have been formed by Forum members: the Summerville Community Orchestra; the Singers of Summerville; Guys and Dolls; Eight Hands Piano Ensemble; the Brass Quintet, and more.

We know that there are many folks out there, including newcomers, who would love to make music but have not yet found an outlet. Help us to introduce people to GSMF, and fire up enthusiasm and networking opprotunities.

Remember, the Forum only works if each member takes an initial step and makes a phone call.

Here are a few ways to make the system work:

* Use your Directory; it's your best networking tool.

* Check our website www.greatersummervillemusicforum.org often. There see current GSMF news, area wide concert and musical entertainment dates and locations, links to partner organizations, contact information and more.

* Make sure that your correct e-mail address is listed in our broadcast system.

* From this you'll get Forum and partner news almost instantaneously when broadcast notices are sent.

* Submit your own events and dates to: Going_tech @ yahoo.com for distribution to all Forum members.

* Contact any Board member if you have suggestions, questions, offers of help, or a great idea we should consider.

* Complete a membership application (found on our website contact page) and send it along with you check to become or renew your membership.

We are making beautiful music together. We simply need to make more of it. THANK YOU for your involvement and loyalty.
