Welcome to the website of the Greater Summerville Music Forum!

We're excited to welcome you to our new website.  The website currently offers introductory information about the group, including contact information, a downloadable membership form, news, and events.  We will be continuously expanding the site to offer new information and services to our members.  Please come back and visit often to see our progress.

Our purpose:

To foster the performance interests of local music lovers; to provide links for individuals or groups, to meet for informal practice or performance, and generally to encourage the making of music in our community.

*** In our continuing effort to promote fine chamber music in the area, Susan McAdoo will hold a three hour workshop at the Charleston Academy of Music in early May. Trio and quartet music will be given in advance. Each hour different combinations will practice and be guided by members of the Academy faculty. At the end of the session, the ensembles will play for everyone. This effort is being guided by the International Chamber Music Players. The workshop is open to veterans of chamber music as well as musicians who are interested. Contact Susan at 843-860-5326 or email: semcadoo@yahoo.com if you have questions or would like to participate. * To learn more about the Charleston Academy of Music, click on GSMF Partners and then find and select the highlighted Charleston Academy of Music. ** Congratulations to the Summerville Music Club scholarship winners.
